Raw Propolis

Propolis is another substance that can be harvested from honey bee hives.  Propolis is a resin that is gathered by honey bees from conifers and poplar trees.   Honey bees use it to glue together components of the hive, seal drafts, and encase objects that may be trapped in the hive but cannot be removed by the bees.  For example, we have many cases where a metal hive tool or rock has fallen into the hive and when we inspected the hive again it had been encased in a layer of propolis.  Propolis is said to have medicinal properties against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It might also have anti-inflammatory effects and help skin heal.  We provide our propolis raw and you must contact us for pricing and shipping information.
